The Rosé de Loire AOC is a relatively recent appellation that covers dry rosés produced all over the Anjou and Touraine regions. With 750 hectares currently in production, these wines are excellent for newcomers to the world of dry rosé. Created from a whole array of varieties grown in the region, including Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Gamay and Grolleau, these rosés offer liveliness that is well balanced by aromas of small red fruit such as raspberries, strawberries, cherries and gooseberries. They are soft, refreshing and slightly acidic, which makes them well-suited for summer drinking. They are best enjoyed when young.
